Patent prs

Hello, I'm glad to answer your question.

PRS guitar is absolutely value for money, and the materials, design and technical proficiency are thoroughly studied. If you don't believe me, you can ask PRS's competitors whether the humidity of wood is below 7% (the humidity of PRS ebony fingerboard is 3%), whether the workers in every production line are guitarists, or whether they will invest more regularly to buy better machinery and equipment?

PRS guitars can definitely be "preserved", because PRS products have high residual value and are constantly sought after by guitar collectors and connoisseurs in the second-hand market. In fact, many limited-edition guitars of PRS, such as Dragon series products, are currently at a much higher market price than their original prices. Undoubtedly, PRS has an absolute advantage among high-end guitar brands.

Company background

Paul Reed Smith started from scratch. During his college years, he independently operated his own research project and made his first guitar. His dream is to become a successful guitar producer one day. 1985, together with some rare supporters such as Carlos Sanata, he threw himself into his dream and opened the first factory in Annapolis, Maryland.

In the PRS customized series, the classic yellow, deep red and royal blue, as well as the now world-famous birds, are the first products of this factory. It is also the core product we are currently producing.

1996 1 month, PRS opened another factory with an area of 25,000 square feet and 0/25 employees, and has always insisted on making high-quality guitar products. Paul Reed Smith stays in the factory almost every day, insisting on strict quality control and carefully maintaining the quality of PRS. In addition, he is also responsible for R&; Department research and development of new product projects. As president, he often plays the guitar, which is really hard to get. His self-organized Dragons band has played an important role in almost every trade fair in the world and participated in a series of promotional activities.

Editor's Note: This is an article in the sales guide manual of PRS, a world-renowned high-end guitar brand. Although it is a sales guide, it records a lot about the growth, corporate philosophy, brand composition and, of course, brand service of a famous brand like PRS-all these have created a world-famous guitar brand-PRS!

Our necks

Our necks can be divided into two types: rubber necks and mortise necks. For example, artists, dragons, custom 22, custom 24, Macatee, Macatee soap bars, Macatee vault and Macatee shell series all belong to rubber necks. CE22, CE24, limited series of swamp ash are all hairy necks.

Of course, it is necessary for us to explain to our customers that no matter what kind of neck, its service life is the same, and their difference is only in the different timbre and feel. The rubber neck is generally mahogany, while the piano body is mahogany/maple. So the timbre is warm and woody, and the midrange is full. Mortise and fingerboard are generally made of sandalwood or maple, and the timbre is more realistic.

At the same time, we are also increasing the production of some limited edition guitars. For example, a series of products using the exclusive collection of solid East India neck and Brazilian ebony fingerboard, and using Macatee ebony neck and East India ebony fingerboard. Guitars with these necks can play sonorous timbre like a piano, and the whole range is also very harmonious. Of course, due to the high cost of the neck, the price of the whole guitar is much more expensive than that of the ordinary maple guitar.

Also, please make it clear to your customers that the supporting guitar of PRS is definitely not a low-end product. Their unique design will definitely give you unexpected performance. Some top guitarists would rather choose our series of products. Different from common guitars, PRS's neck design allows players to play every flavor easily.

If customers want to order our exclusive products, please call Joe Knaggs or the manufacturer, and we will provide you with all the help you need.

Neck width: Except Santanas series (2411"), all other guitars in PRS series are 25". The radius of fingerboard is 10 ",and Santana series is 13". And the silk we use is also developed and designed by ourselves. Our product line is definitely stronger than many similar products, especially the height and radius of our PRS. The neck width of 25 "makes it easier for you to bend strings (like Gibson's 24 3/4"), and at the same time, it can have a harmonious range like Fanta's 25 1/2.

Product quantity: PRS Customs and CE series provide 24 and 22 neck products to choose from. Santanas is a standard 24-piece set, while Swamp Ash's limited-edition series McCarty, McCarty SOAP Bar, McCarty Arch Top and McCarty Hollowbody and our limited-edition guitars all use 22-piece sets of necks.

Please note that the width of the neck is the same, but the length of the neck has two grades.

The original PRS is grade 24, with clean timbre and satisfactory harmony. It's easier to play the whole octave. The neck of stringed instruments is relatively short, and the bridge and neck are inserted into the body, which makes the timbre fuller and preserves the original sound of the instrument.

Neck type: We also offer 3 neck types for you to choose from. Below we will introduce them to you one by one. But please note that different necks have different prices.

The width of the conventional neck pillow is 1 2 1/32 ",which is between the old les paul Jr and the 50-year-old Tele, and the comfort is just right. This neck is suitable for a 24-level guitar.

Generally, the width at the neck of a wide thin-walled piano is 1 2 1/32 ". It feels like 1960/6 1 model ES335. This neck is suitable for 22 and 24 guitars.

The width of the chord pillow of the wide and narrow neck is the same as that of the wide and narrow neck, but the thickness is better, which is basically similar to that of the conventional neck. Its playing timbre is more full and vigorous. This neck is used on a 22-level guitar.

What makes PRS never out of tune?

The nut material, missing angle and winding device of PRS are specially designed to minimize the friction of strings and make the tuning as accurate as possible.

PRS is made of materials that are more durable than bones. The winding devices are arranged on both sides of the piano head, so that plucked vibration can be perfectly transmitted to the neck, and the depth is just to prevent the strings from being further bound. The "banging" sound that is common in other guitars is absolutely inaudible on PRS guitars.

Except Macatee series, PRS guitars are equipped with our patented knobs. It works like a boat bolt. Actually, it's not complicated ... looking down at the string of the winding machine,

Our piano body

Selection of wood: Except Seamp Ash series, almost all PRS guitars are made of mahogany.

Customs, Macatee, Santana, most limited edition and CE's top maple series are covered with 7/8 "thick maple, and the mahogany piano body and piping are also carefully carved, which is definitely thinner than 1/4".

Standard and conventional CE series usually have exquisite carvings, and the piano body is carved from a whole piece of mahogany. Macatee Archtop and Macatee Hollowbody series are carved with Chinese fir veneer, and the back and sides are made of solid mahogany. Mccarty arch top McCarty arch top artist and McCarty Hollowbodys series have solid embossed maple veneer on the front/back and solid mahogany on the side.

In short, the timbre differences between them are:

The maple veneer on the mahogany piano highlights the original warmth of mahogany. The whole mahogany piano body sounds warm and suitable for rock guitar. Our Marsh Grey Set series is equipped with a pickup from Macatee, so the warmth and characteristics of the sound are more obvious, especially in the middle and high notes. Because it is made of all solid wood, our McCarty Archtops and McCarty Hollowbodys are also excellent in vibration response timbre. Chinese fir veneer can make the timbre rounder, the midrange warmer and clearer. The performance of maple veneer in high range is more prominent and clear. Due to the all-solid wood design, I believe that our timbre will be perfect day by day.

Our famous veneer Our high-quality maple veneer is also famous. I believe that any musician will be attracted by this exquisite veneer design. It is no exaggeration to say that PRS has mastered the process and technology of making the best embossed maple in the world, whether it involves the selection of raw materials, cutting or polishing. PRS piano body modeling, veneer carving, back and forth piping, all show the excellent quality of PRS. Please make sure that consumers pay attention to this, hang your PRS guitar near the light source and adjust it to the best lighting position to ensure that it will benefit you. (The effect of single focal point is better than dispersion)

CE series is a typical flashing maple veneer, but it won't have a dazzling feeling. The highlights of the customized series cover most of the whole veneer. Top-class 10 custom guitar should definitely be all-flashing without dead ends.

Due to many years of experimental experience, PRS guitar provides you with more color choices.

The density and width of each maple are completely different, so there will inevitably be some defects on the guitar body. When selling, you can turn this into an advantage and tell your customers that each PRS guitar has a unique appearance and distinctive sound.

Ergonomics If you often use our guitar, it is not difficult to find out how well it is balanced. When you gently put your right hand on it, it will just fall on the most suitable position of the string. Maybe when you hang up your braces and observe your PRS from 35 to 40 degrees, you don't notice that all the control knobs are arranged in a straight line at equal distances. During Paul 10 guitar playing career, he constantly absorbed experience and lessons, and improved his guitar making step by step. This is not a simple work of art, but for those who love guitar playing and let them play their best.

"Uncovered" design Now more and more high-end guitar products are using this design, and our PRS is the initiator of this trend, with antique edging painted with natural faint maple edges. By doing so, the problem of edge cracking for a long time can be avoided. If you are interested, you can compare PRS guitar with other brands. Our anti-crack quality can definitely stand any test.

A thin coat of paint We tried to brush the top coat of the piano as thin as possible. I believe you also know the influence of repainting on timbre. The bottom layer of our piano body is a very thin layer of sandblasting paint, and the surface layer is acrylic polyurethane coating. In our opinion, the appearance and feel of acrylic polyurethane final paint are closest to the previous nitrocellulose paint.

Many manufacturers will paint the piano body with a thick layer of paint to avoid missing it when polishing. Doing so will not only limit the natural vibration of the piano body, but also weaken it at the tangent. Our ultra-thin topcoat also creates the famous "immersed in glass" appearance of PRS. In order to achieve this effect, we all train the workers in the workshop with extremely high standards, strictly control the amount of paint, be careful when polishing with sandpaper, and dare not neglect when polishing. Only in this way can we create the unique brilliance of our PRS.

Put our guitar in the brightest place in the shop, and you will see that the curve and tangent of the PRS body can reflect impeccable perfect luster.
