According to continuing medical education activities, credits are divided into two categories: Category I credits and Category II credits.
(1) Category I credits: Category I credits are awarded by national continuing medical education projects and provincial and municipal continuing medical education projects.
1. National continuing medical education projects
(1) Projects reviewed by the National Continuing Medical Education Committee and approved and announced by the Ministry of Health.
(2) Projects organized by national continuing medical education bases and announced by the Ministry of Health.
2. Provincial continuing medical education projects
(1) Projects reviewed by the provincial, autonomous region, and municipality continuing medical education committees and approved and announced by the provincial health administration department.
(2) Projects organized by provincial continuing medical education bases and announced by provincial health administrative departments.
(3) Projects organized by first-level academic societies such as the Chinese Medical Association, the Chinese Dental Society, the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, and the Chinese Nursing Society, and registered with the National Continuing Medical Education Committee, all belong to provincial continuing medicine Educational Programs.
(2) Category II credits:
Category II credits are awarded for self-study, published papers, scientific research projects, academic activities organized by the unit and other forms of continuing medical education activities.
