Diamond wire saw, also known as diamond wire, refers to fixing diamond abrasive on metal wire by electroplating process or resin combination method.
There are two main types:
1. Electroplating: A linear superhard tool made by depositing a layer of metal (usually nickel and nickel-cobalt alloy) on a metal wire by electroplating and fixing diamond abrasive in the metal. The metal coating is a bond and a diamond abrasive for cutting.
Electroplated diamond wire saw can be made into different diameters and lengths according to needs; Wire saws can be installed on different equipment to form different processing methods, such as reciprocating cycle (saw frame), high-speed band saw, wire cutting and so on. For the processing of hard and brittle materials, wire saw can not only cut thin slices, but also process curved surfaces, and can also be used for the study of small holes, which has broad application prospects. 2. Resin type: the diamond abrasive is bonded to the metal wire by using resin as a bonding agent.
