Yang Sheng, born in 1970, received a bachelor's degree in nonferrous metallurgy from Central South University of Technology (now Central South University) in 1992 and a doctorate in condensed matter physics from Zhengzhou University in 2003. He used to be the deputy director of the Electrolytic Research Office of Aluminum Electrolytic Carbon Institute of Zhengzhou Light Metal Research Institute, and now he is an associate professor in the Key Laboratory of Material Physics of Zhengzhou University, Ministry of Education, mainly engaged in the research of light metal metallurgy and metal materials. He won 2 first prizes for scientific and technological achievements of Henan Education Department, 5 provincial and ministerial appraisal projects, 7 invention patents and published more than 20 papers.

He used to be the deputy director of alumina research institute of Zhengzhou light metal research institute, the chief engineer and professor-level senior engineer of aluminum electrolytic carbon material research institute. Won the first prize 1 item of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes 1 item; Henan Torch Science and Technology Industrialization Meritorious Award1; Obtained 6 national invention patents and new design patents 1; Participated in writing 2 monographs, and served as the peer review part of 1 monograph, and published 47 scientific papers.
