Is the national examination interview leaderless or structured?

There are both. There are various interview forms in the national civil service examination, including structured group, leaderless group discussion, structured and so on. The leaderless group discussion is usually divided into groups at random to take the exam, and the candidates are interviewed collectively by scenario simulation. Structured interview follows a fixed procedure according to the requirements of different post competency characteristics, adopts a special question bank, evaluation criteria and evaluation methods, and evaluates candidates through face-to-face verbal communication between examiners and candidates.

Generally speaking, most departments will adopt structured interviews when conducting national examination interviews, and some specific departments will adopt the form of leaderless groups. For example, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the State Intellectual Property Administration, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Ministry of Finance, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, the State Administration of Work Safety, the Forestry Bureau, the Civil Aviation Administration, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Patent Office and the the State Council Development Research Center have all used the interview method without a leading group.

There are open questions, dilemma questions, resource competition questions, multiple-choice sorting questions and operational questions in the leaderless group discussion examination. Among them, the most tested is open, and the least is operational.

structured examination questions include comprehensive analysis questions, interpersonal relationship questions, organization and management questions, emergency response questions, self-awareness questions, scenario simulation questions, etc. Different positions will be inclined and focused.
