The steel structure design research center of Guangdong Architectural Design and Research Institute was established on the basis of the Guangdong Steel Structure Research Office established in 2006. The steel structure design of large-span and large-space exhibition center is mainly carried out. The core members of the design team are from Tongji University, South China University of Technology and Hunan University. They have a solid foundation, comprehensive professional knowledge and rich experience, and all have high and senior titles. Since the steel structure design of the new Baiyun International Airport was carried out in 2000, the team of the Steel Structure Research Center has completed the design and consultation of a number of long-span, high-rise buildings and other steel structures. Including airports, railway stations, sports buildings, exhibition buildings and other building types.
The design team of the center has won nearly 80 international, national, provincial and municipal awards in the field of steel structure design, and has many national invention patents, such as sliding ball hinge bearing with large pull-out resistance, universal ball hinge bearing with anti-loosening limit structure, box steel plate dislocation-free expansion joint, etc. In many major projects, we have cooperated with many internationally renowned architectural design companies such as SOM, KPF, GP and GMP.
