Intellectual property refers to the results of intellectual creation: inventions, literary and artistic works, and signs, names and images used in business.
Intellectual property rights can be divided into two categories:
Industrial property rights, including invention patents, trademarks, industrial designs (referring to the decorative or aesthetic features of articles) and geographical indications.
Copyright, including literary works (such as novels, poems and plays); Movies; Music, artistic works (such as sketches, paintings, photography and sculpture) and architectural design.
The rights related to copyright include the rights of performing artists to their performances, the rights of producers of phonograms to their phonograms and the rights of broadcasting organizations to their radio and television programs.
