The lock of the trolley box says TSA, but there is no diamond shape. Is this a customs lock?

There are two types of TSA customs locks, one with the torch mark and the other with the red diamond mark.

After the 911 terrorist attacks in the United States, David Tropp, the founder of Torch Customs Lock, was the inventor of the customs lock concept. He was the first to apply for the customs lock concept to TSA (abbreviation of the Transportation Security Administration) and got it. He was recognized and authorized by the US TSA and also obtained a US patent when he was in his 20s. The founder of Red Diamond subsequently submitted an application, which was also recognized and authorized by the US TSA. Then red diamonds quickly entered China. After the first few years of precipitation, they gradually gained acceptance in the industry. The Torch entered China a few years late. It is precisely because of the late arrival of the Torch that many Chinese people believe that TSA locks only have red diamonds. Some people think that the Torch is a Chinese brand. Even in the past few years, some people equated customs locks with TSA.

There are several types of red diamond keys such as 00X, etc., and there is only one key for the torch. But this has nothing to do with consumers. In the case of a customs lock with a number wheel, consumers can use the password to unlock it. Password-less customs locks with Bluetooth can be unlocked by consumers using the mobile APP. Consumers can unlock customs locks with fingerprint modules based on their fingerprints. Consumers can unlock the password-less customs lock with a separately configured key. The lock cylinder on the customs lock is for approved countries (not limited to the United States, the red diamond is approved by the United States and the United Kingdom, or there are others but I don’t know, the torch is licensed by the customs of 8 countries including the United States and the United Kingdom) Used by personnel when checking passengers' checked baggage.

The so-called 201.101 and other markings on the lock cylinder are not the classification of customs lock keys, but the classification of lock keys without passwords held by consumers. This is a distinction made by the lock factory in order to distinguish the geographical areas covered by the sales of luggage products. No need to explain this much. The locks purchased by consumers do not have a number wheel and can only be opened with a key. But the key held by the consumer is not equivalent to the customs key. In other words, the key you take cannot have the function of a customs key that can open all such customs locks. You can only open your own lock, not anyone else's.

Not all locks with cylinders are customs locks. There are TSA Safe skies words around the core of the Torch Customs lock, and there must be a Torch mark on the lock. There are TSA 00 numbers around the lock core of the red diamond, and there must be a red diamond mark on the lock (it is currently as everyone knows it, and it is unknown whether there will be other changes in the future).
