In 1997, he won the second prize of Guanghua Science and Technology Award (ministerial level) of Guanghua Science and Technology Fund, and in 1998, he won the China Youth Science and Technology Award. He is employed as a new drug review expert by the State Medical Supervision and Administration Bureau and an academic member of the Human Major Disease Gene Research Center of Peking University Health Science Center. The direct expression and post-processing method of insulin precursor gene in E. coli has been patented in China.
