Where is the cultivation base of Cordyceps sinensis in Sun Yat-sen University?
In August, 2006, China's first modern scientific research base at high altitude, "Science Workstation of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Characteristic Resources of Sun Yat-sen University", was established in the alpine zone of Linzhi, Tibet at an altitude of 4 156 meters. Sun Yat-sen University has set up a 30,000-mu experimental shed in Sejiling, Tanggula Mountains. The herbivorous insect breeding project and the Cordyceps sinensis breeding base were established, and the workstation B with an altitude of about 4,500 to 5,000 meters was established in Naqu, Tibet, which laid the foundation for the large-scale fence excellent Cordyceps sinensis breeding project and technology promotion. The Science Station has carried out research on the meteorology, soil, plants, microorganisms, insect communities, biology and other aspects of Cordyceps sinensis, and made more than 10 major breakthroughs, and obtained 12 invention patents in China.
