What are the registration conditions for Japanese trademarks?

For foreigners applying for trademark registration in Japan, Japanese subjects should adopt the following principles:

1. The applicant's country is a member of the Paris Convention;

(In fact, even if the applicant is not a national of a member state of the Paris Convention, if he has a domicile or a real and effective business office in any member state, he is regarded as a national of an associate member state and can apply for trademark registration in Japan. )

2. The country where the applicant is located has signed a bilateral agreement on trademark protection with Japan;
