Agricultural development in Xingping town
Xingping Town is rich in natural resources. Xingping Town has 44,032 mu of cultivated land, including 27,735 mu of paddy field and 0/6,297 mu of dry land. Xingping Town takes summer orange, kumquat and taro as the key points of agricultural structure adjustment, and takes summer orange as the leading product, and has established seven demonstration bases for ripe fruits in spring and summer. Summer oranges developed rapidly, reaching 3500 mu in 2003. A demonstration base of 2000 mu of taro was established in Sisi. Aquaculture mainly focuses on soft-shelled turtle and bonito fry in Lijiang River, with an annual output of 22,000 soft-shelled turtle and 500,000 bonito fry. The forest area is 5776. 1 hectare, and the main tree species are Chinese fir and Pinus massoniana. Mineral resources include lead-zinc mine and calcite mine.
