On the afternoon of December 1, 2021, when the Blue Sky Rescue Team of Wei County, Handan, Hebei Province was conducting a rescue operation in the Zhanghe waters, two rescuers fell into the water and died. Previously, on November 23, while the Handan Daming Blue Sky Rescue Team was performing a rescue mission at the local Zhanghe Bridge, a team member fell into the water and died.
On December 2, I learned from the staff of the Daiming Blue Sky Rescue Team that the rescue operation that the Wei County Blue Sky Rescue Team participated in was the previous mission of searching and rescuing fishermen who fell into the water. .
On December 1, when the Hebei Handan Blue Sky Rescue Team was conducting a rescue operation in the waters of Zhanghe River in Wei County, they entered the rolling dam and some rescuers fell into the water. On the 2nd, I learned from the Handan Emergency Management Bureau that two rescuers from the Wei County Blue Sky Rescue Team were unfortunately killed during this rescue operation. Wei County is currently handling the incident locally.
Previously, on December 23, when the Daming Blue Sky Rescue Team was performing a voluntary search and rescue salvage mission in the Daming section of the Zhanghe River, the lifeboat motor was entangled by unknown foreign objects in the river and lost power, causing it to roll over, resulting in the rescue of 5 people on board. The team member fell into the water. One of the rescue team members, Liang Zhenfeng, was swept away by the turbulent water and lost contact. He was found 400 meters downstream of the sinking point two days later and had unfortunately died.
The locations of the two accidents are located on the same river, about 15 kilometers away from the incident. At about 3 pm on the 2nd, I contacted the Daiming Blue Sky Rescue Team. The rescuers told me that the rescue operation that the Wei County Blue Sky Rescue Team participated in was the previous mission of searching and rescuing fishermen who fell into the water. In other words, this voluntary search and rescue salvage mission has resulted in the death of three members of the Blue Sky Rescue Team.
In 8 days, the Blue Sky Rescue Team lost three rescue members. The rescue team stated that the rescue operations involving the three people were all for the same mission - to salvage fishermen who fell into the water.
After the incident, "Blue Sky Rescue" issued an announcement to warn blue sky rescue teams across the country: If you participate in a rescue that is far beyond your capabilities, you must stay away and don't let it happen again. Tragedy unfolds. The specific reasons why the rescue team members died are under investigation.
