Whose patent is QR code payment?

The QR code we are using now was invented by a Japanese, Teng Hongyuan. He applied for a patent and didn't find its value. Later, Wang Yue, the founder of Lai Rui Xinchuang, saw the value of the QR code and brought it to China.

The QR code we commonly use now is the "upgraded version" of the barcode. Two-dimensional code basically stacks many bar codes layer by layer, and puts information vertically and horizontally. QR codes contain more information than bar codes. The two-dimensional code has 2 19 characters, but its icon is very small, achieving the goal of storing more information in a relatively small area.

When the QR code was first introduced, Japan did not pay attention to it. At that time, the inventor of the QR code applied for a patent, but he didn't find the hidden business opportunities in the QR code, so he gave up the active use of the QR code and the QR code was buried.

Later, Wang Yue, founder of Lailirui startup, discovered the huge market value of QR code. After working in Japan for more than a year, I was exposed to QR codes. After thinking for a while, Wang Yue decided to return to China to start a business. Yi Rui Company was founded, and a large number of outstanding talents graduated from Peking University, Tsinghua and Harbin Institute of Technology were United to jointly develop the world's first mobile phone QR code engine. In 2003, it obtained the "QR code fast reading engine" with completely independent intellectual property rights, and applied for the national patent of barcode reading method and device; In 2005, he participated in the formulation of China QR code standard, which has now become the international standard of ISO.

Now, QR code payment has profoundly affected all aspects of China people's lives.
