They are determined to develop and produce China's own high-precision automobile crankshaft manufacturing equipment. In 1979, they took the initiative to enter the Xiaogan Machine Tool Factory, where they ate and lived with the workers and worked side by side with the technicians. In 1983, they finally took the lead in developing and producing the first CNC high-speed full-axis automatic crankshaft grinder in China, and applied for a national technology patent, filling the gap in domestic similar products.

In the following years, Duan Zhengcheng and his team members continued to upgrade equipment according to market demand to maintain the advanced level of products in the country. Well-known companies such as Yuchai Machinery Manufacturing Factory, Beijing Internal Combustion Engine Factory, and Northern Curved Roller Co., Ltd. have signed orders with them.

After hard work, the team led by Duan Zhengcheng carried out a series of process innovations, mechanical system structure innovations and grinding process control innovations to address the technical problems existing in the high-precision and high-efficiency grinding of the crankshaft. It is the first company in China to develop 3 series and 6 models of CNC crankshaft grinding machines.

The automobile crankshaft grinding machines produced in my country have their own intellectual property rights.

Compared with similar equipment produced abroad, some have simpler structures and are only about half the price of imported equipment, which greatly reduces the production cost of automobile crankshafts.

Since 1983, this product has been sold to more than 13 provinces (cities) including Beijing, Liaoning, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Henan, Guangxi, and Shanxi, and has been used by 23 companies.

Similarly, Duan Zhengcheng and his team members began arduous research in 1985 in view of the current situation that my country's high-end laser processing equipment basically relied on imports in the 1980s and 1990s. After hard work, the research team broke through the traditional processing method of the edge to be welded of laser welded blanks at home and abroad, solved the problem of online laser cutting and welding using one optical path, invented a new combined laser cutting and welding processing method, and presided over Developed 14 types of domestic first (sets) of laser processing equipment.
