Four. Dr Zhou Wenzong's entrepreneurial and scientific research experience in his hometown.

Comrade Zhou Wenzong is the director, associate researcher and double doctor of the Ecological Environment Research Center of the Provincial Academy of Sciences. Major: ecological engineering and aquatic biology.

1July, 990, Zhou Wenzong, a college graduate, returned to his hometown in Yangxin County, Hubei Province. He is ambitious and wants to find a way to get rich with what he has learned. When he learned that the price of Monopterus albus was firm and there were few farmers, he collected information everywhere and started the breeding experiment according to the method in the book. However, the technical difficulty of artificial culture of Monopterus albus, which is known as "the most difficult to raise in aquaculture", far exceeds his expectation. Every breeding experiment ended in failure, and the survival rate of Monopterus albus was less than 30%. Zhou Wenzong fell into confusion and hesitation. He realized that if we want to successfully raise eels, we must have a solid theoretical foundation and create a brand-new breeding technology system. In order to improve scientific research ability, 1993 was admitted to Shenyang Agricultural University for a master's degree in ecology. Under the guidance of his tutor, he accumulated knowledge hungrily, applied ecological engineering technology to eel breeding, and conducted soilless culture experiments in Panjin and his hometown in Liaoning Province, with initial results. 1994 ~ 1995 set a breeding record of 10 square meter, and realized a net profit of 700 yuan in half a year. 1June, 1996, his master thesis "Logistics and Energy Flow Analysis of Two Food Chains in Eel Ecological Engineering" successfully passed the expert defense.

From June 65438 to July 0996, Comrade Zhou Wenzong was assigned to work in the Institute of Geography of Henan Academy of Sciences. With the support of the unit leader, he set up the Monopterus albus research room, adhering to the principle of "combining field investigation with indoor experiment, combining macro and micro, and combining qualitative and quantitative", being diligent and eager to learn, being brave in practice and innovation. He has successively presided over "Study on the Development and Application of Eel Ecological Engineering" (97 1040206), "Comprehensive Study on Large-scale Breeding Technology of Eel" (99 1040022) and "Study on Integrated Pest Control Technology of Eel" (0424030058).

1997, he established a demonstration base for ecological culture of Monopterus albus in the western suburbs of Zhengzhou, and used plastic film ponds for soilless culture of Monopterus albus for the first time.

1998 carried out seedling raising in rice fields and courtyards in the suburbs of Kaifeng, and successfully carried out semi-artificial propagation of Monopterus albus outdoors for the first time;

In 2000, he published a paper, put forward a new model of "still water soilless ecological culture of Monopterus albus", successfully realized indoor shallow water semi-artificial propagation technology of Monopterus albus, and guided relatives in his hometown to carry out still water soilless ecological culture of Monopterus albus in a cement pond with a production area of 1000 square meter, with a profit of 654.38+10,000 yuan that year.

200 1 In order to further improve his theoretical level, he also studied for a doctorate in ecological engineering at Nanjing University and a doctorate in aquatic biology at the Institute of Aquatic Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In the same year, he used a special fish nest instead of soil to realize the industrial shallow water soilless culture of Monopterus albus, and established a demonstration base in Jincheng, Shanxi;

In 2002, the series of specific drugs "Duoyi Monopterus albus" was invented, which basically solved the problem of pests and diseases, and in the same year, an ecological breeding demonstration base was established in Nanjing;

In 2003, he used aquatic plants and water quality improvers to improve water quality and avoid fishery environmental pollution. The active components extracted from aquatic plants can effectively control the diseases and pests of Monopterus albus. In the same year, cooperative breeding bases were established in Zhangshu, Jiangxi and Zigong, Sichuan.

In 2004, the reporter of CCTV's agricultural program gave a one-week special interview report to Zhou Wenzong at Nanjing Demonstration Base. In the same year, he was entrusted by the Institute of Biology of Nanjing University to go to Hong Kong to guide the organic farming project of Monopterus albus in Hong Kong.

In 2005, he systematically studied the feeding and breeding ecology of Monopterus albus, developed environmentally-friendly feed through food chain technology, reduced breeding costs and improved product quality, and established a breeding base in Chuzhou, Anhui Province in the same year.

In 2006, he successfully cultured Monopterus albus and Procambarus clarkii in saline-alkali land for the first time, and applied animal restoration, especially ecological filtration technology, to the treatment of aquaculture wastewater, achieving the goal of "feeding water with fish". In the same year, he established a large-scale aquaculture demonstration base in Huangshi, Hubei.

After the breakthrough in the research and experiment of ecological farming of Monopterus albus, Zhou Wenzong decided to promote it in his hometown of Huangshi City, Hubei Province, to help his hometown change its backward appearance and help his hometown elders get rid of poverty and become rich as soon as possible. In 2006, the Agricultural Bureau of Yangxin County, Hubei Province organized several training courses on the ecological farming technology of Monopterus albus in the demonstration base of rural practical talents training in this county, and invited Dr. Zhou Wenzong to teach the entrepreneurial skills of characteristic farming. In 2006, the breeding area of Monopterus albus in Huangshi City reached more than 80,000 square meters, with an annual output of more than 500 tons and an annual output value of more than 20 million yuan. Products are exported to South Korea and other places. Zhou Wenzong's score is CCTV-7 (May 30, 2002; September 2004.1), Henan Daily (1998.11.12; 2008. 1 1.7), Henan rural news (2000.9.27), Modern Express (2003. 12.9), Jinling Evening News (2003.9. 10), 2000. Zhengzhou Daily (2007-2008. 1 1.7), Zhengzhou Evening News (2008.1.7), Dahe Daily (2008.1./. ..

Ji, director of the Fisheries Bureau of Henan Provincial Department of Agriculture, saw the report that Dr. Zhou Wenzong used what he had learned to "feed back" his hometown agriculture. On June 5438+1October 65438+1October 065438+1October 2007, he personally led more than 50 comrades in charge of fisheries in relevant provincial cities and key fishery counties to Yangxin Base in Hubei. This paper focuses on the ecological culture of eel in cage culture and soilless still water culture, and listened carefully to Dr. Zhou Wenzong's introduction on eel culture in Yangxin County. Director Ji said that Monopterus albus farming has now formed an industry in Hubei, and the experience is worth learning. At that time, "Zhou Wenzong Monopterus albus and Misgurnus anguillicaudatus Ecological Culture Technology" was organized and promoted in the whole province. Establish demonstration bases in the eastern suburbs of Zhengzhou, Long Ting in Kaifeng, Nanwan in Xinyang and Fanxian in Puyang.

At present, the national promotion training is concentrated in Nanjing demonstration training base. In the middle of every month, Nanjing Base and China Aquaculture Network jointly hold a one-week technical training course, which is taught by Dr. Zhou himself.

Up to now, 74 papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals, including 56 first authors and 52 core journals. Patent application 10, including 9 invention patents, 7 first inventors and 7 authorized patents.
