4. 1990 ~ 199 1 year served as deputy commander and chief engineer of Xiangtan Xiangjiang second bridge. Using its patent of "continuous jacking", two new technologies, continuous jacking of box girder with holes (7× 42.86m) and hydraulic jacking of box girder cantilever construction (90m across 20m wide), were realized, which filled the domestic blank and won the title of "Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert in Hunan Province".

In 2003, Shangguan Xing put forward the idea of canceling the steel pipe pile construction platform and directly replacing it with steel casing in the foundation project of Sutong Yangtze River Bridge (the world's first cable-stayed bridge), saving 6000t of steel.
