In fact, not all inventions can produce good technical and social effects. It is natural that only effective inventions should be rewarded by society. However, how to correctly and fairly evaluate whether and to what extent inventions can produce effects is something that China has been trying hard in the past, but the results are always unsatisfactory.
Under the patent system, the patentee obtains economic benefits by exploiting the patent by himself, allowing others to exploit his patent and stopping others from infringing. Whether the invention protected by patent is valuable is determined by the market, and whether the patent right is worth keeping is judged by the patentee himself, not by some people or an institution in the form of audit and appraisal, so the result is more fair and objective. In other words, the operation of the patent system ensures that the "oil of interest" can be selectively added to the valuable "fire of genius", which is one of the outstanding advantages of the patent system.
Personally, I think:
(1) Whether the personal writing quality of the applicant is high enough; (2) Is the market value of the patent itself high? Do a good job of market research before applying, can you sell it? (3) Is the advertisement well done? These questions should be considered by all applicants. Unfortunately, many excellent projects were finally ignored.
