Patent examination refers to the patent office's examination of the patent specifications, claims and other documents submitted by you. Patents are divided into invention patents, utility models and designs. Invention patents need substantive examination, which takes a long time. 1. Submit the application. 2. After the Patent Office accepts it, it conducts a preliminary examination (examining whether the documents meet the formal requirements); 3. After the preliminary examination meets the requirements, the applicant enters the announcement period (within 3 years from the date of application) after 18 months from the date of application, during which the applicant may request substantive examination.
After there is no problem in the substantive examination, the certification can be authorized.
