II. Introduction of Chongqing Three Gorges University
Chongqing Three Gorges College was founded in 1956, and now it is located in Wanzhou District, Chongqing, an ancient city with thousands of years and the capital of immigrants. The school originated from the training class for junior high school teachers in Wanxian, Sichuan Province, and is the only multi-disciplinary undergraduate college in the hinterland of the Three Gorges reservoir area (Ministry of Education code 10643). In 20 13, it was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as a master's degree awarding unit. After more than 60 years of development, the school has become the first undergraduate college in Chongqing to advocate the concept of "green education" and promote the integration of production and education in green education. At present, it has formed a discipline structure with arts and sciences as the mainstay, industry as the mainstay, coordinated development of other disciplines and majors, undergraduate education as the mainstay, and coordinated development of postgraduate education and adult education. The school is a national pilot unit for the construction of smart campus, a member of the Sino-US "Double Hundred Talents Program" for applied technology education, a demonstration unit for education informatization in Chongqing, and an experimental school for the reform and development of aesthetic education in Chongqing universities.
On the scale of running schools. The school covers an area of 1980 mu, there are 8 secondary colleges/kloc-0, with more than 20,000 full-time students, 750,000 paper books1660,000 electronic books, and fixed assets1400 million yuan.
Discipline and specialty construction. There are 60 undergraduate majors in the school, covering 9 disciplines such as engineering, literature, management, science, art, economics, law, education and agriculture. There are three first-class disciplines with master's degree authorization points (China Language and Literature, Environmental Science and Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology) and four professional master's degree authorization points (Master of Education, Master of Agriculture, Master of Engineering and Master of Tourism Management). At present, there are four key disciplines such as China Language and Literature, Electronic Science and Technology, Environmental Science and Engineering, Agriculture and Forestry Economic Management, and two key disciplines such as Computer Science and Technology and Mathematics.
In scientific research. The school has Chongqing 1 Collaborative Innovation Center, 2 key research bases of humanities and social sciences in Chongqing, 5 engineering technology research centers (laboratories) in Chongqing, 3 engineering research centers (key laboratories) in universities in Chongqing and 2 engineering technology centers (laboratories) in Chongqing Development and Reform Commission. Chongqing colleges and universities have 2 municipal societies, 7 municipal scientific research and innovation teams, and 1 innovative research group. In the past ten years, it has undertaken more than 900 national fund projects and municipal scientific research projects. Successfully applied for more than 300 patents, published more than 9,000 papers, searched more than 800 papers in the three major universities, published more than 400 papers in CSSCI and CSCD journals 1, and published more than 90 academic monographs 1. Scientific research achievements have successively won nearly 30 awards at or above the municipal level, such as the Outstanding Achievement Award of Humanities and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education and the Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award. The school has more than 30 faculty members11,including 4 Bayu scholars, more than 920 full-time teachers, more than 380 people with high professional titles, more than 780 doctors and masters, and more than 485 master tutors (including off-campus tutors). A national expert service base, Chongqing municipal academician workstation and postdoctoral research center have been established, Mao, Janus and Lesek, academicians of China Academy of Engineering, and high-level talents and teams such as Professor ieee fellow from City University of Hong Kong have been introduced.
