Huawei needs to pay huge patent fees to Qualcomm every year, and Qualcomm occupies the dominant position in key 5G technologies. Huawei has more 5G patents than Qualcomm, but fewer core patents than Qualcomm. Huawei's 5G propaganda is exaggerated. Huawei's 5G lies in its lower overall cost because Huawei is engaged in the production of communication equipment and has both software and hardware. Qualcomm needs to rely on other manufacturers to provide supporting services.
As for chips, Huawei unfortunately has no technology. Except for the baseband, everything else Huawei buys is off-the-shelf. Qualcomm has a higher authorization and can make magical changes to the ARM architecture and core. The most typical one is the environment. Snake architecture, and Qualcomm has an independent GPU production and R&D department, so the overall level of Qualcomm Snapdragon is better than Kirin, especially graphics.
