The hospital has four teaching and research sections: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, agricultural machinery and transportation engineering, logistics engineering research institute and experimental center. The experimental center has six laboratories, namely, agriculture and animal husbandry machinery laboratory, vehicle technology and transportation engineering laboratory, mechanical engineering laboratory, computer and application laboratory, electrical engineering basic laboratory and measurement and control technology laboratory. As a computer teaching unit in our school, our school has two characteristic laboratories, namely, computer foundation and computer application. Among them, our electrical and electronic technology laboratory, computer laboratory and automobile driving special practice project are open to all students. At the same time, there are six research institutes (centers) including agricultural machinery engineering, precision agriculture, wind power machinery design, traffic engineering, engineering information technology and automobile energy-saving technology, which undertake postgraduate training and scientific research. In addition, the Institute also participated in the establishment of the National Wind Power Engineering Technology Center and Xinjiang Agricultural Machinery Engineering Technology Center as a cooperative unit.
Up to now, our college has trained nearly 8,200 full-time college graduates, 80 graduate students and more than 1 100 adult education graduates. They work in scientific research institutes, universities, production enterprises, party and government management departments and grass-roots units all over the country, mainly in Xinjiang. Many of them have become well-known experts, party and government leaders and entrepreneurs, and most of them are the main business backbones of their own units. Over the years, graduates have been welcomed by employers because of the combination of majors and professional directions to meet the needs of economic and social development in Xinjiang, especially in Urumqi. The employment rate of graduates is usually above 97%, and some majors are still in short supply.
