China has been developing effective vaccines since fighting the COVID-19 epidemic. We all know that COVID-19 acts on the elderly with poor resistance, so the audience is the first consideration in vaccine development. The launch of the first COVID-19 vaccine in China attracted worldwide attention. Because China is the best country in the world to effectively prevent and control the epidemic, and now in many foreign countries, the epidemic is very serious, and the death toll is still increasing. So what are the advantages and disadvantages of various vaccines developed in China?
First, inactivated vaccine. High safety, mature technology, only stimulating humoral immunity, and the yield is limited by the site. It can't simulate the infection process of the virus, and its stimulation to the immune system is relatively weak. Usually, only humoral immunity mainly produced by antibodies. It is necessary to cultivate live pathogens first, and then inactivate them to make vaccines, which requires higher biosafety level in the production workshop and limits the output to some extent.
Second, the recombinant protein vaccine is efficient, safe and high-yield.
Thirdly, the productivity of virus vector vaccine and nucleic acid vaccine is the highest, but there are obviously many adverse reactions, so the safety needs to be observed.
In fact, in my opinion, the best and safest thing is inactivated vaccine. Because of this vaccine, we scientists all have research and development experience. At present, inactivated vaccines include polio inactivated vaccine, hepatitis A inactivated vaccine and hand-foot-mouth vaccine, and vaccines commonly used by the whole people include rabies vaccine. At the same time, these vaccines have a very good policy, that is, the national free policy, and you don't have to pay for it yourself.
