Introduction of calcium sulfate whisker

Calcium sulfate whisker is a new type of fiber sub-nano material with uniform cross section, complete shape and perfect internal structure, which grows in the form of single crystal. Its shape is caused by the difference of crystal growth rate between axial direction and transverse direction. Whiskers grow mainly along the axial direction, and their side faces are low-energy surfaces, which grow very slowly, and are spirally fed into the tip or base surface of whiskers through surface diffusion.
