The correct format for citing references in papers is as follows:
1. Single author: The English format is "(author's last name, year of publication)", the Chinese format is "(full name, Year of publication)".
2. Two authors: The surnames of the authors must be sorted in the order in which their names appear in their published articles. If two authors are cited within brackets, an "&" symbol needs to be added between the names, or "and" or "and" can be used to connect them, depending on the journal format. If quoted at the beginning of a sentence, use "and" and "and".
3. If a document has three or more authors, only the first author is listed. In English, "et al." is used to refer to the remaining authors, while in Chinese, "et al." is used.
4. It is easier to use numerical superscript citation. Multiple documents should be separated by commas, and consecutive citations should be abbreviated with "-". Mainly note that the order of numbers in the text corresponds to the order of the documents at the end of the text.
Notes:
Different journals, different majors, and different universities have different format requirements for graduation thesis. The citation types are mainly divided into Journal, Book-Chapter, Patent, Conference and Thesis.
It is highly recommended to use bibliographic management software to auto-populate by selecting the format type. This saves a lot of tedious work in sorting out the document format at the end of the article.
