Chery's scientific planning, advanced layout and Industry-University-Research's collaborative innovation have successively undertaken more than 30 major national "863" energy-saving and new energy vehicles, and made breakthroughs in related core technologies and industrial development. Gradually build a new energy technology research and development system with vehicle integration, core technology and core component development capabilities. At present, Chery has applied for more than 700 patents in the field of new energy, including more than 400 invention patents, and has gradually developed into an independent leading enterprise with leading technology, reasonable product structure and innovative marketing business model in China.
While constantly improving its competitiveness, Chery attaches great importance to strengthening upstream and downstream cooperation in the industrial chain. At the end of 20 17, the 95kW motor jointly developed by Chery and Yaskawa Electric Corporation of Japan went offline. Compared with similar products, the motor has the characteristics of lighter weight, higher electric drive efficiency and higher winding density, and the weight of the whole machine is reduced by 22% compared with the existing domestic products, which provides a powerful "heart" for electric vehicles, fills the gap of domestic high-end electric drive systems, and makes an important breakthrough for the key technologies of new energy vehicles in China.
