Which is better for BBA plug-in hybrid? This brand does not approve of pure electricity, but it is ahead in the field of plug-in.

On February 27th, a BMW? The upgraded version of 5 Series plug-in hybrid mileage goes offline, which is the historical moment for BMW Brilliance to go offline for its 3 millionth domestic BMW. At the same time, BMW Brilliance also announced that this model was officially listed in China. It is worth noting that the suggested retail price of the new 5-Series plug-in hybrid vehicle manufacturers remains unchanged, and the prices of the two models are 499,900 yuan and 536,900 yuan respectively.

On the basis of the original product strength, the new car battery pack only gained 6.5 kilograms, almost all of which came from the new safety materials and safety structure in the battery pack, further optimizing the safety performance of the battery. It is worth mentioning that when the new car is driving in pure electric mode under NEDC test standard, the fuel consumption is only16 kW-h. The battery pack has brought consumers a pure electric cruising range of 95 kilometers, which is 42% higher than the previous products, and the fuel consumption is further reduced to 1.5L/ 100 kilometers.

Technically, the upgraded version of 5 Series plug-in hybrid mileage launched this time is equipped with the latest eDrive technology. The high-voltage battery adopts 8 1 1 Ni-Co-Mn ternary lithium ion high-performance battery. Without changing the shape, volume and number of batteries of high-voltage power battery pack, the total electric energy capacity increased by 37%, reaching 17.7 kWh.

In 20 19, the global sales of new energy vehicles reached 22 10000, up 10% year-on-year. Among them, the sales of pure electric vehicles were 6.5438+0.63 million, accounting for 73.7%. On the other hand, BMW's 530e/le and i3 ranked 6th and 10 respectively in the global sales list of new energy vehicles, and sold 5 1083 and 4 1837 vehicles respectively.

In China, in 20 19, the sales volume of BMW 5 Series plug-in hybrid version * * * was 26,000, which was the sales champion of luxury brand plug-in hybrid models last year. At the same time, the annual sales volume of BMW brand in the field of new energy reached 6.5438+0.28 million, ranking fifth in the list of global car companies. This achievement also far exceeds Audi and Mercedes-Benz, which launched pure electric platforms, ranking first among European luxury brands.

In terms of sales of new energy vehicles, BMW predicts that the sales of its electric vehicles will increase from 8.6% in 20 19 to 25% in 20021year, and will increase to 30% and 50% in 2025 and 2030 respectively.

It can be seen that BMW has tasted enough sweetness in plug-in hybrid.

However, it is obvious that BMW is against new energy sources! Fu Zeng, director of BMW Group, said in an interview: "No consumers have real demand for electric vehicles, none of them, but the regulatory authorities have requirements for pure electric vehicles."

In fact, it should be said that BMW is only opposed to pure electric new energy, but for plug-in hybrid power, both hands are in favor and both feet vote for it.

This situation is quite subtle: does a company value the future or focus on reality? BMW gave a clear answer with its own behavior and sales.

Compared with pure electric, BMW obviously cares more about plug-in hybrid. Although plug-in hybrid is just a rotten "oil-to-electricity" technology in factories and enterprises, it is not a new model produced on the new platform. However, perhaps because of this, BMW is more willing to do plug-in hybrid: it doesn't need to spend a lot of money to build a pure electric platform, and pure electric vehicles are far less popular than plug-in hybrid vehicles, which can also alleviate people's mileage anxiety.

In fact, plug-in hybrid technology is not as simple as talking about it, nor is it as simple as "changing oil to electricity". The so-called plug-in hybrid technology is actually based on the traditional engine and gearbox, plus motor battery pack and electronic control technology. Because of the previous fuel vehicle foundation, it is very troublesome to change, and the follow-up experience may not be very good. As we all know, an article will be changed beyond recognition, so it is better to rewrite it. The same is true for plug-in and hybrid models.

However, BMW's plug-in hybrid technology is excellent, "without sacrificing driving pleasure", sales volume is the most direct embodiment, and the votes cast by consumers with their feet can best explain the problem.

However, why do the most hybrid Toyota Honda, their luxury brands have no such performance, and have never recognized BMW with new energy?

According to foreign media reports, BMW's plug-in hybrid car was sued by a company named Paice in the United States. Robert Oswald, CEO of Paice, said angrily in a statement: "Paice sincerely shared the details of our hybrid technology with BMW, but BMW did not try to obtain technical authorization from here through negotiation, but directly used it and used it for its own benefit."

The case can be traced back to 2005, when BMW formed a technical alliance with General Motors and Daimler-Chrysler. Paice claimed that at that time, the company showed its innovative achievements to alliance members including BMW, and provided its executives and engineers with in-depth details about the technology, including how to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions without sacrificing driving performance.

In fact, BMW is not the only car manufacturer sued by Paice. According to Automotive News, Paice and one of its major shareholders, the Silver Bell Foundation, have filed similar lawsuits against Ford, Toyota and Hyundai. Subsequently, all three companies agreed to acquire this technology by obtaining authorization from Paice.

Although Pais is a standard NPE company, it cannot be said that BMW has not adopted other people's patented technology. Aren't Ford, Toyota and Hyundai also sued and lost?

Business has always been an actuarial interest, even if it is really going to court. In fact, BMW has made a lot of actuarial calculations on the use of plug-in hybrid vehicles, and will only take action if it is sure to win.

In China, where new energy sales account for half of the world's total, people still have mileage anxiety about pure electric vehicles. Moreover, in most cities in China, plug-in hybrids are also relatively loose, and there is no purchase restriction. Therefore, in today's new energy sales are still too weak compared with traditional fuel vehicles, BMW is happy to be convenient at both ends, and the fisherman will benefit.

Going to court? What belongs to God belongs to God, and what belongs to Caesar belongs to Caesar. Without sales, nothing is possible. The responsibility of reducing emissions in the world? It doesn't matter, we use plug-in hybrid, which is to reduce emissions.

Although it seems that the price of this new car has not risen because of the adoption of new technology, you must believe that BMW will never lose money for it. Compared with a new platform, this cost is really insignificant.
