It has been more than 12 months since foreign companies applied for patents in China. Can we copy their products?

I have heard that the patent right is legally protected only in the area where the patent is applied (it seems that the patent right has a regional scope), and it may not be protected in other areas. You should be able to try it, copy their products, and then apply for your own patent in China. If the government approves it, you can safely produce it, but you still have to face the risk of being sued and subsequent disputes (if you apply for a domestic patent, others may not be able to sue you).
