Look at Tesla's drive motor first.
Tesla adopts AC asynchronous induction motor, which is designed and produced by Futian Electric in Taiwan Province, China. The maximum power is as high as 275kW to 385kW (different motors are carried by different models), and the rotor with squirrel-cage structure is adopted inside. The motor uses coolant to dissipate heat. The advantages of this kind of motor are simple structure, low manufacturing cost and no demagnetization risk when used for a long time. Disadvantages are low motor efficiency and high power consumption at low speed.
Then look at the motor of Weilai automobile.
The motor behind Weilai automobile adopts AC asynchronous induction motor, and the principle is the same as Tesla motor. The copper rotor is adopted for the first time in the world, and the squirrel-cage structure is also adopted inside, which technically surpasses Tesla's driving motor. Coolant is also used to dissipate heat. The maximum power is 240 kW and the rated power is 60 kW. The maximum power is slightly lower than Tesla, and the rated power is higher than Tesla's motor.
Finally, let's take a look at BYD's drive motor.
BYD adopts AC permanent magnet synchronous motor. The maximum power of this motor is not very large, only 160 kW, but the rated power is equivalent to the driving motors of Weilai and Tesla. In addition, this motor is relatively small in size. Its advantages are high efficiency and energy saving. The disadvantage is that there is a risk of demagnetization at high temperature, and once demagnetized, the power will drop. So we need a good cooling system. Coolant is also used to dissipate heat.
This is the motor comparison of three models, and it is also the core component of power output. All of them are independently developed and produced in China, which shows that China's new energy vehicle technology is still in a leading position in the world. In terms of batteries, China Contemporary Ampere Technology Co., Ltd. and BYD have relatively high international market share. Many luxury brands are using batteries made in China, such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
