On August 10, 2020, Fortune magazine released the 2020 Fortune 500 list. There are seven Internet-related companies on the list, including Amazon, Alphabet, and Facebook in the United States, as well as JD.com, Alibaba Group, Tencent Holdings, and Xiaomi Group from China.
Among them, Alibaba has the largest improvement in ranking, rising 50 places, followed by Xiaomi, rising 46 places. Alibaba and Xiaomi have become the two fastest-growing Internet companies.
At the beginning of 2019, Xiaomi Group launched the “mobile phone AIoT” dual-engine strategy. The smartphone business adopts a dual-brand strategy, with annual smartphone sales reaching 125 million units, ranking fourth in the world in market share. The financial report shows that Xiaomi’s total revenue in 2019 reached 205.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.7%. The adjusted net profit was 11.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.8%.
