Fiber optic laryngoscope is actually an ordinary laryngoscope, the difference lies in the light source of laryngoscope. The light source of ordinary laryngoscope is generally at the front end of laryngoscope, which directly irradiates the throat, but it is easy to be damaged. The light source is an ordinary light bulb with low and uneven brightness. The light source of the fiber laryngoscope is on the handle of the laryngoscope, and the optical fiber on the laryngoscope lens can guide the optical fiber to illuminate the throat. The brightness is higher and more uniform than that of ordinary laryngoscope, and the effect of peeping into the throat is better.
Fiber laryngoscope is different from "fiber laryngoscope", which refers to fiber endoscope and belongs to endoscope.
