What are the functions of the mite remover? Is it effective?

There are probably two types of mite removal devices that I know of: ultraviolet and ultrasonic mite removal devices.

At present, we use more ultraviolet ones, while ultrasonic ones are still under development and are relatively rare on the market. Let’s talk about the UV function first.

The mite removal device is also called a mite removal vacuum cleaner. It has the function of vacuuming. It is equipped with vibration, flapping, and ultraviolet light, and it turns into a mite removal device. Start the machine while vibrating and tapping to knock out the dust. The suction force will suck the dust and dirt into the machine, and the ultraviolet light will turn on the sterilization mode. This is how the machine works.

Ultraviolet light is generally blue-white, which is the same as sterilizing in the sun. A layer of skin will peel off when a person is sunburned, and it will also peel off if exposed to ultraviolet light for a long time. So when using it, be careful not to shine the light directly on your skin for a long time.

In fact, the mite remover is just a bed vacuum cleaner. In other words, the slapping and sterilizing functions are almost useless. The slapping force is too weak to remove the mites. The ultraviolet lamp on the mite remover generally uses the UVB band, with a length between 275-320nm. Ultraviolet rays of this wavelength have moderate penetrating power and have a relatively good sterilization effect in daily life. But if you really want to get rid of mites, you need long-term exposure to ultraviolet light, and it is effective only within a certain distance. The mite remover advertised by the merchant can kill mites by pushing and pulling it back and forth on the bed for a few minutes, which is an exaggerated effect.

The living environment of mites is: humid, with a temperature between 24 and 36 degrees. This condition is a breeding ground for mites. To get rid of mites, just destroy the living environment of the mites. Wash frequently, change quilts frequently, and keep your home ventilated and dry.

Although the ultraviolet sterilization mite remover has no effect, using the vacuum function of the mite remover to absorb dust and dander on the bed can also reduce allergies to mites.
