Introduction to Admission Units
Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Nuclear Industry (hereinafter referred to as Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry) is one of China’s nuclear A large-scale natural science and industrial application research institute affiliated to an industrial group company. Over the past fifty years since its establishment, the institute has made significant contributions to the construction and development of my country's nuclear industry.
The Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry currently has more than 1,000 employees, including more than 600 professional and technical personnel, including more than 80 researchers and researcher-level senior engineers, more than 260 associate researchers and senior engineers, and more than 180 research assistants and engineers. There are 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering who have worked in the institute; a total of 18 young and middle-aged experts who have made outstanding contributions at the national, provincial and ministerial levels; a total of 45 people who have enjoyed special government allowances from the State Council; and a total of 5 experts who have been awarded titles in Tianjin. Our institute’s scientific and technological staff are mainly composed of undergraduate graduates and master’s and doctoral students from key national universities, covering dozens of majors. Various professional fields work closely together to form a team of scientific research talents capable of tackling key problems and bravely innovating. Over the past fifty years, our institute has won more than 500 scientific research achievements at the provincial and ministerial level and above in key national public relations research projects. It has more than 1,000 valid patents and has submitted more than 2,300 patent applications. In June 2008, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security approved the establishment of a postdoctoral research workstation. In May 2011, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Institute of Physics and Chemistry became one of the very few postdoctoral research workstations that independently recruits postdoctoral researchers.
At present, as a multi-disciplinary comprehensive research institute, our institute has basic theory, isotope separation, ultra-clean filtration, mechanical design and manufacturing, laser technology, electromechanical and automatic control, new materials chemical engineering, physical and chemical analysis, Research institutes (departments, offices) for optoelectronic technology, scientific and technological information, and environmental assessment; it also has a wholly-owned subsidiary of the institute that focuses on the transformation of scientific research results and integrates advanced production technology research, precision machinery design and processing, and has It is a high-tech industrial company with four major series and dozens of civilian products, including chemical industry, mechanical and electrical equipment, filtration and purification equipment, and has three centers for measurement analysis, network information, and archival intelligence. It has established a relatively complete scientific research and production system and experimental facilities, with a new material innovation center for national defense science and technology industry and a key national defense laboratory. Our institute is also equipped with a number of high-precision instruments, meters and equipment, such as: multi-functional electronic energy spectroscopy instrument, scanning electron microscopy, universal material testing machine, large mass spectrometer, large vacuum heat treatment furnace, large spinning machine, etc.
With its strong scientific research strength, high-quality scientific research team and special status in the nuclear industry, the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry was approved by the state as a master of engineering degree awarding site in 1985. The degree-granting major is nuclear fuel cycle and materials, with five research directions: fluid physics theory, fluid physics experiment, laser application and separation technology, separation special materials, and control and detection technology. Over the years, we have trained more than 160 master's degree students. The Academic Degree Committee of the Academy is chaired by Chen Niannian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the honorary director, and Wang Liming, member of the Strategy and Management Advisory Committee of China National Nuclear Corporation, as the director, with 8 members. There are 41 graduate tutors, all with professional and technical titles of associate senior level or above. In addition, there is a dedicated political and ideological instructor for graduate students, who is served by the secretary of the party committee of the college. The Graduate Office is responsible for the administrative management of graduate students such as recruitment, admission, training, student status, curriculum, tutor team, degree and discipline construction, and external exchanges.

Instructions for Candidates
1. Enrollment Plan
In 2021, our school plans to recruit 6 full-time academically oriented master’s degree students in engineering (including 2 recommended students) ). The planned numbers listed in the major catalog are estimates based on the past student situation. The actual number of admissions may be based on the actual number of plans issued by the planning department, the situation of recommended admissions and the situation of qualified students in the unified examination, and reported to the school admissions leadership group. Make adjustments after agreeing.
2. The application conditions and preliminary examination time shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Education documents. For details, please log in to the China Graduate Admissions Information Network to inquire or consult the examination institute, registration center and graduate admissions office of the school where the candidate is applying.
The admissions unit determines the candidate's qualifications based on the candidate's application information and the regulations of the Ministry of Education. The candidate can download and print the admission ticket from the online registration system. Candidates should accurately fill in the registration information on the registration website as required. If a candidate is unable to take the exam or be admitted due to incorrect or false information in the online application, the consequences shall be borne by the candidate himself.
3. Examination:
The national master’s degree admissions examination is divided into two stages: preliminary examination and re-examination.
1. Preliminary examination
The preliminary examination is organized by the state. The initial examination methods are divided into national unified examination and recommended exemption examination. The date and time of the preliminary examination will be announced by the Ministry of Education.
① Four subjects are tested in the preliminary examination: among them, ideological and political theory, foreign languages, and business course 1 (mathematics 1) use the national unified test paper, and business course 2 has its own questions organized by our school.
② To choose one of the two test subjects, candidates must correctly select the name and code of the test subject of Business Course 2 when registering, otherwise it will be designated by the college.
③ The preliminary examination results will be announced to the candidates according to the time specified by the Tianjin Education Admissions Examination Authority.
⒉ Re-examination
① Recommended students will undergo re-examination in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and our hospital’s admission procedures for recommended students.
② For candidates who take the unified examination, our school will independently determine the master's degree of the unit based on the "Basic Requirements for Initial Test Scores for National Master's Admissions Examination Candidates Entering the Re-examination" combined with our school's first-choice student sources and enrollment plans. Basic requirements for postgraduate candidates’ preliminary examination scores.
③ Candidates who meet the re-examination requirements of our hospital should participate in the re-examination on time after receiving the re-examination notice. If they exceed the deadline, their re-examination qualifications will be cancelled.
④ In addition to taking the re-examination, candidates with equivalent academic qualifications must also take at least two additional undergraduate core courses. The additional test subjects must not be the same as the initial test subjects. The additional test is a written test.
⑤ Re-examination method: In accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and in conjunction with the enrollment requirements of our school, our school’s 2021 postgraduate admissions re-examination method (plan) is formulated and published on the "China Graduate Admissions Information Network".
4. Admission:
⒈ The "Targeted Employment Agreement" must be signed before admission, otherwise, admission will not be granted.

In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education’s enrollment management regulations, based on the current year’s enrollment plan, candidates’ preliminary and re-examination scores, daily academic performance, ideological and political quality, moral assessment, and physical and mental health status, according to? As needed Based on the principles of admissions, comprehensive evaluation of morality, intelligence, and physical fitness, merit-based admissions, and preferring shortcomings over excesses, the list of students to be admitted will be determined and submitted to the Ministry of Education for approval after it is announced that there are no objections.
5. Benefits:

6. Learning methods:
The national plan is to provide full-time postgraduate students with a master's degree in engineering (Tianjin City). The duration of study is 2.5 to 3 years.
7. Tuition fees:
There is no tuition fee for postgraduate students enrolled in the School of Physics and Chemistry in the fall of 2021.
Now that the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission has issued mandatory unified fee regulations, they will be implemented in accordance with the Municipal Education Commission documents.
8. New student registration:
Freshmen must register within the specified time with the "Admission Notice". Those who are unable to report on time must have valid reasons and relevant certificates and ask for leave in advance. Those who fail to register for more than 2 weeks without any reason will be disqualified from admission. Candidates who are fresh undergraduate graduates and have not obtained a nationally recognized undergraduate diploma when enrolling will be disqualified from admission.
9. Training methods
Our school will allocate tutors for admitted graduate students according to the needs of scientific research projects. Tutors guide students in selecting courses, developing topics, conducting experiments, and writing degree (and graduation) thesis.
10. Employment
Master’s students will be sent to our college for employment after graduation.
