Toughened nylon is also called impact nylon. Experiments show that toughened nylon can still maintain excellent physical properties at low temperature. By adding toughening polymers with different structures, the flexibility, impact resistance and low temperature resistance of the composites were improved. Although the strength, rigidity and heat resistance are lower than that of the parent nylon, the impact strength can be increased by more than 10 times, and the modified toughened nylon has excellent wear resistance and dimensional stability. The modified and toughened nylon is resistant to radiation and ultraviolet rays and has excellent dimensional stability and mechanical strength. This kind of products can be divided into two categories, one is special materials for power tools, and the other is various toughened nylon materials.
Strengthening and toughening nylon;
The mechanical properties of glass fiber and toughening agent were added to nylon. The results show that with the increase of glass fiber content, the tensile strength and bending strength of the material are greatly improved, while the impact strength is more complicated. The addition of toughening agent greatly improves the toughness of the material. Adding 30% ~ 35% glass fiber and 8% ~ 12% toughening agent, the tensile strength and impact strength of the material are greatly improved.
