When the QR code was first introduced, it did not get the attention of Japan. Although the inventor of the QR code applied for a patent at that time, he did not find the business opportunities contained in the QR code, so he voluntarily gave up the right to use it. The QR code has been shelved.
Surprisingly, the huge market value of QR code was discovered by a China person, who is Wang Yue, the founder of Yi Rui startup company. After working in Japan for more than a year, touching the QR code and thinking about 15 days, Wang Yue decided to return to China to start a business.
In 2002, Wang Yue founded Yi Rui Company, and together with a group of outstanding engineers who graduated from Peking University, Tsinghua and Harbin Institute of Technology, developed the world's first mobile phone QR code engine. In 2003, it obtained the two-dimensional code fast reading engine with completely independent intellectual property rights, and declared the national patent of barcode reading method and device; In 2005, he participated in the formulation of China QR code standard, which has now become the international standard of ISO.
