Method of adjusting the material parameters of embossed glass with VRay
First, open the material editor, name it embossed glass, and switch to VR material.
Relief glass is a kind of glass with concave and convex characteristics. Let's adjust the glass material first. We adjust an ordinary transparent glass and directly add an attenuation to the reflection channel to simulate the Fresnel reflection of the glass. By default, the reflective gloss of the glass surface is temporarily set to 1. We adjust the refraction to be close to white and make it more transparent glass, which is the adjustment of its transparency.
Everyone should pay attention here. After adjusting the refraction, do we still need to adjust the gloss? Not yet. Check the influence shadow. The refractive index is set to 1.55, after we adjust it. Render it and see.
This is the adjustment of glass material. Now there are patterns on the glass, that is, there are bumps. What should I do? We add a bitmap to the bump, paste the pattern on the glass, and then render it directly.
We can see that there is already texture. Let's rule out the angle and light first, and then see if there are any problems in the details. We see that the glass is concave and convex, but there are many small impurities.
What caused this? This is the place, because the parameters tested are very low parameters, so we adjust two parameters here.
This is a question of our parameters,
Adjust the parameters to see the effect.
You can see that after I improved the parameters, the glass material really shows what it should look like.
