2. Personal interview process:
1. Time: 15 minutes;
2. Interviewers: two, one is a teacher from Fudan and the other is a corporate executive;
3. Content: The whole process is in Chinese, no English speaking test;
4. Experience:
The questions are mostly related to personal work and academic background, and there is no special pattern. You can follow this, it all depends on the personal preference of the MBA interviewer.
The two personal interviewers I met were relatively easy-going and spoke kindly, which made me relax a lot. Thumbs up!
The first question is a 3-minute self-statement. There is an alarm clock counting down in front of the teacher!
After the statement, the interviewer will ask questions based on your personal statement or online application materials. For example, ask me about my experience in project management, how to manage my team, how to formulate and implement a reward and punishment system, etc.
I will also be asked questions related to my studies, such as asking me about my experience studying abroad and what I gained, etc.
There will also be stress test questions, such as asking why I didn’t come to study for an MBA earlier, and why I didn’t choose to stay abroad?
3. Personal notes:
Special attention needs to be paid during the interview: expression, eyes, language and tone
1. The personal statement must be prepared carefully and highlight the highlights, that is, what you hope to convey Important information for MBA interviewers. At the same time, the logical sequence should be clear (forward narrative or flashback), and the time should never exceed 3 minutes! It needs to be practiced repeatedly in advance;
2. It is best to prepare a 2-minute version of the personal statement, because later I heard that some interviewers require a 2-minute personal statement;
3. Answer Try to keep the questions within 1-2 minutes, think clearly, and answer them positively. Allow time for the interviewer to ask more questions and get to know you more comprehensively, which will also help deepen the interviewer's impression of you;
4. When answering questions, you can quote examples or combine them with yourself. This makes it appear more real and full of content. But you should also pay attention to the time. Don't expand too much and not be able to take it back, which will lead to too long time to answer questions;
5. It is recommended to carry a watch with you and take it off before the interview starts so that you can easily see the time. The customary position can help you control the rhythm when necessary;
What is the purpose of the personal interview?
The purpose is to verify the authenticity of your application materials, evaluate your development potential, and examine your leadership abilities and your professional knowledge.
Four. Group interview process:
1. Time 35 minutes (including 7 minutes of reading and listing concise opinions on the answer sheet, and the last minute of 1 minute English summary for each person in numerical order);
2. Format: leaderless discussion (group of 5-7 people);
3. MBA interviewer: professors from Fudan School of Management and corporate executives;
4. Experience:
We randomly selected a few people on site to form a group, and were led by staff into the group classroom. The journey only took about a minute, and there was no time to get to know all the group members and complete the role assignment;
After entering the door, the interviewer will hand out questions and a two-couplet answer sheet. The answers are written on the answer sheet. The first copy must be handed in before starting the discussion;
The discussion is free-style Yes, you can expand the case problems horizontally or vertically. Since everyone has to make a summary statement, everyone needs to take notes;
At the last minute, summarize in English and state your own opinions on the problem. Opinions and Suggestions
Five sets of interview suggestions:
1. Write your opinions on the scratch paper as neatly and clearly as possible, because the scratch paper will be returned to the interviewer for review.
2. During the discussion, listen carefully to what others have to say, take notes, and do not repeat other people’s views when making presentations.
3. The English presentation only lasts for one minute. If it exceeds the time limit, the teacher will stop the presentation.
4. Put your watch in front of you to help you keep pace.
5. Some other details of group interviews were introduced in detail by the teacher during the interview class and group interview simulation process. Try to use your own characteristics and be confident.
