A native of Dafeng, Jiangsu. Member of the Communist Party of China. In 1992, he graduated from the Administrative Management Department of the Cadre College of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Party School of the Communist Party of China. He started working in 1974 and served successively as a teacher at Xintuan Primary School in Dafeng City, a counselor of the Young Pioneers of Dafeng Experimental Primary School, a deputy section-level organizer and section chief of the Organization Department of the Dafeng Municipal Party Committee, and a deputy director of the Dafeng Municipal Cultural Bureau. Started publishing works in 1982. Joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1997.
