A simple way to kill aphids

Simple methods to eliminate aphids: drug control, manual control, soil replacement and protection of natural enemies.

1, drug control

If you want to completely eliminate aphids, you need to spray pesticides on plants in time. It can be sprayed 1-2 times every other week to kill pests on plant branches and leaves and make them grow healthily, or it can be sprayed on plant leaves after mixing washing powder, urea and water according to the ratio of 1:20:400, which is beneficial to killing aphids.

2, artificial prevention and control

The removal of aphids can be controlled manually. It is necessary to mix quicklime, sulfur powder and water to make whitening agent, and then apply it to the trunk of trees to prevent aphids from crawling into the bark to lay eggs. Moreover, all infected branches and leaves can be cut off and burned to maintain the normal growth of plants.

Step 3 replace the soil

Aphids will lay eggs in the soil. When cultivating potted plants, the soil should be changed immediately after the plants are infected with aphids. Loose and breathable sandy loam rich in humus can be used, and then potassium permanganate solution can be sprayed on the soil for disinfection to promote the vigorous growth of plants.

Step 4 protect natural enemies

There are many natural enemies of aphids, such as ladybugs, aphid lions, parasitic bees and syrphids. To get rid of aphids, natural enemies can be placed around plants to protect the environment so that natural enemies can freely prey on aphids, and aphids will die because of the change of weather. Rainfall will stop aphids from migrating and shoot them down from plants.

Symptoms of aphid damage

The harm of wheat aphid mainly includes direct harm and indirect harm. The direct damage is mainly caused by adult aphids and nymphs sucking the juice of leaves, stems, tender heads and tender ears. Wheat aphid mainly harms the front of upper leaves of plants. After heading and filling, it proliferated rapidly and concentrated in the ear.

Wheat aphids like to damage crops at seedling stage, and the damaged parts form withered spots, while other aphids do not have this symptom. Indirect harm refers to the spread of wheat virus diseases through wheat aphids, among which wheat yellow dwarf disease is the most harmful.
