Professor Li Jianjun is the director of the laboratory, and Professor Hu Zhenghuan, an academician of China Academy of Engineering, is the director of the academic committee of the laboratory.
The State Key Laboratory of Material Forming and Mould Technology of Huazhong University of Science and Technology began the research of mould CAD/CAE/CAM technology from 1980, and the research of mould computer integrated manufacturing technology began in the 1990s. After 2000, the research on the design and manufacturing technology of mold dynamic alliance and the information technology of mold production process management was carried out, and international cooperation in national key projects, "863 Plan", national natural science foundation, provincial and ministerial projects and related fields was undertaken successively. He has won many national, provincial and ministerial awards. In nearly 20 years of research and development, we have trained a group of technical backbones, accumulated rich software development experience and a large number of software and hardware support conditions.
The main achievements of the State Key Laboratory of Mould Technology of Huazhong University of Science and Technology include:
1. rapid prototyping system and equipment: including three mature technologies, LOM, SLS and FDM, and mass production equipment, as well as sheet metal dieless forming technology and equipment, which can realize rapid manufacturing and reverse manufacturing. The above equipment and technology have won many national invention awards and patents, and have been fully commercialized and industrialized. At present, it has been applied in more than 0/00 enterprises and universities nationwide, mainly including Chongqing Construction Engineering Group and Northwestern Polytechnical University.
2. Mold enterprise management information system-EMAN is a special system specially developed for the management characteristics of mold enterprises. It has outstanding functions such as man-hour statistics, real-time monitoring of mold progress, optimal scheduling, etc., which can significantly shorten the mold manufacturing cycle and provide detailed data for mold cost control. At present, it has been successfully applied in dozens of foreign-funded, state-owned and private enterprises in China. Typical users include FAW Mould, BYD Group, Wuxi Guo Sheng, belrose, Ningbo Sara, Fujian Xunxing, Guangdong Cole and Chuzhou Jingwei.
3. The customized development of special CAD system is specially designed for the design requirements of different enterprises, so it can greatly improve the design efficiency of enterprises. The laboratory has carried out fruitful cooperation and development with UGS company of the United States and large mould enterprises such as Haier, Kelon, Konka and Guo Sheng.
4. Domestic enterprises widely use new mold materials such as GM steel and 5NiSCa steel. In addition, mold surface treatment technology, mainly laser surface strengthening technology and laser surface repair technology, has also been industrialized.
5. Plastic mold CAD/CAE/CAM software-HS CAE can simulate the pressure field, temperature field and plastic three-dimensional flow filling in the plastic molding process, thus analyzing the position of fusion line and predicting possible surface defects such as warping and deformation. At present, the installed capacity is more than 400 units, and typical users include well-known enterprises such as Haier and Konka.
6. Rapid analysis software for sheet metal stamping-FAST AMP is a simulation software for sheet metal forming process, which can predict the stamping process design problems such as cracking and wrinkling that may occur during sheet metal forming, and effectively avoid the possible economic losses caused by blind investment in die production. The system has been applied in more than 20 domestic enterprises and universities. The main users include Dongfeng Motor Mould Co., Ltd. and China Aerospace Third Institute.
7. Casting mold CAD/CAE/CAM software-Zhu Hua CAE has been popularized and applied by more than 150 users, mainly including Dongfeng Motor Corporation Foundry, FAW Foundry No.1 Factory, Harbin Aidi Die Casting Co., Ltd. and other enterprises. Preparation of base cermet and its tool development-This method has been patented by the state, and the tool production has been mass-produced and industrialized. Laser strengthening repair technology and equipment for die surface-it can strengthen the micro-deformed die surface and repair the damaged die surface quickly.
Other scientific research achievements and technologies that the laboratory can provide include: the transformation of forging equipment; Reverse engineering equipment and software systems; New plastic molding technology and mold, etc.
