What is the relationship between ZTE and the United States?
ZTE really belongs to China and has nothing to do with the United States. The United States can sanction whoever it wants, whether it belongs to its own country or not. The United States sanctioned ZTE and did not allow American companies to sell high-tech products necessary for ZTE, mainly chip-based products; ZTE does communication, but some of its communication products, including mobile phones, are imported from the United States. If the United States does not sell these products to ZTE, ZTE will not produce many things, including mobile phones, which is equivalent to pinching ZTE's neck. The apparent reason why the United States sanctioned ZTE is that ZTE sold products that the United States did not allow to Iran. In fact, the United States wants to kill ZTE. Because ZTE's patent on the core technology of 5G communication will affect the interests of the United States, which makes the United States very unhappy. Just like killing ZTE, the United States enjoys the great benefits brought by high-tech communication technologies such as 5G or even 6G in the future.
