Herbicides used in millet fields

Guyou (formerly Gucaoling) is the first new sulfonylurea super-efficient new herbicide with Chinese intellectual property rights developed by the research group of Academician Li Zhengming of Nankai University in 2001---single Cisulfuron-methyl has now obtained a national invention patent. A two-component compound herbicide formulated with the main ingredients. It fills the gap of special herbicides for grain fields in my country.

Through multi-site, multi-variety and field demonstration tests, 44% monosulfuron WP mixture was used at a dosage of 130 grams per mu to achieve 90%-95% control effect on weeds in grain fields, and on grass weeds. The grass control effect is about 85%. Compared with the control field, the millet grows well in the pesticide application field without any symptoms of phytotoxicity. Monosulfuron-methyl herbicide has special effects on the common malignant and difficult-to-treat weeds in the north - weed alkali, and its control efficiency can reach up to 97.4%. The control efficiency of broad-leaf weeds in grain fields reaches more than 90%. It is currently the only chemical herbicide that can be applied in large areas of grain fields. One application can control weeds in the entire growth period of grain fields and is safe for millet.

Control targets: annual weeds such as foxtail grass, millet grass, barnyard grass, crabgrass, oxgrass, steppegrass, foxtail grass, purslane, amaranth retroflexus, amaranth, pigweed, and polygonum.
