Relying on the State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering and the National Research Center of Biochemical Technology Engineering (Shanghai), the College has a complete set of biochemical engineering and fermentation engineering, and the middle and lower reaches of biotechnology are closely integrated, realizing the integration of product and process development, process and equipment amplification and engineering technology. The scientific research conditions are superior and the momentum of undertaking scientific research projects is strong. During the period from the Eighth Five-Year Plan to the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the number of research projects and funds was among the best in the field of biochemical and fermentation engineering in China. Ten Yu Ben textbooks such as Fermentation Engineering entered the 11th Five-Year Plan.
