First of all, the coat article
The first thing to keep warm when riding in winter, especially the coat, is to choose windproof and warm clothes. Keeping warm is not the thickness of a single piece of clothes, but the number of layers you wear (multi-layer air barrier can keep your body temperature better). A thick coat will only make you feel bound and it is difficult to control your bike. Lightweight, windproof fleece fabric riding clothes and pants are good choices. Generally, the front of cycling clothes is windproof fleece fabric, and the back is sweat-wicking and breathable fleece fabric, which can not only resist the cold wind blowing in front, but also accelerate the perspiration on the back; The choice of cycling pants should pay attention to whether there is a thickening layer at the knee. It's important to protect your knees (what I do is to add a set of knee pads). It is best to choose cycling pants with straps to prevent cold air from entering your lower back. There are many such products on the market now, and you can buy clothes and pants with good cost performance for about 100 yuan (or brand goods! ! If you just don't spend money, you can also consider outdoor clothing with windproof fabrics. After all, you have to pay a patent fee (like Gore-Tex).
Second, underwear articles
After the coat, look at the inner layer (not underwear). Choose light, breathable and warm clothes on this floor. Sweat-wicking and quick-drying fleece is the best choice, which can not only help you get rid of the heavy feeling of winter clothes, but also quickly drain the sweat from underwear. When it comes to underwear, of course, you should choose a sweat-wicking and quick-drying tight underwear suit, usually coolmax fabric. The price depends on the content of coolmax. There are also special cycling underwear on the market, but the windshield fabric is designed in front. Personally, I think it is not necessary. After all, the fabric permeability of windshield is still very poor. When you ride, you will find that there is not much sweat on your chest. As long as you add a pair of underwear pants to your lower body, ordinary underwear will stick to your legs wet after you sweat, which will also make you feel very uncomfortable ... and these clothes are available in outdoor supply stores and the price will not be very expensive. Now Decathlon has a cashmere sweater on sale, 49 yuan/piece. You can enjoy a discount of 42/ piece if you buy two pieces, which is still very good value. In addition, when riding, I am used to wearing short-sleeved riding clothes outside my underwear. First, it is warmer and will not affect ventilation and perspiration. Secondly, I can put a bottle of water and some snacks in my back pocket to keep my body temperature, so I don't have to drink ice ballast water.
Third, other equipment.
The whole body is wrapped, and now only your head, hands and feet are exposed. Any nudity will make your riding very painful. From the beginning, a warm hat was essential. A single hat will blow your head like a blast, while a thick hat (thread hat, cotton hat) will keep the sweat from your head. When you stop to have a rest, you will find that the whole hat is soaked, but you still have to wear this ice helmet to move on ... A good choice is to buy a breathable fleece hat, or you can choose the CS hat on the Internet. It's just that this kind of hat has two shortcomings, one is limited visual sense, and the other is that shortness of breath will be affected to some extent. The protection of hands and feet is also particularly important. Frozen and numb hands and feet are quite painful and dangerous for riding! Gloves should be windproof and tidy. Not only to resist the oncoming cold wind, but also to have good handling of the handlebar. That kind of fat ski gloves not only affects the speed control when riding, but also brings unsafe influence to your handlebar. As for keeping feet warm, long waist socks with towel bottoms are preferred, which can better absorb sweat and protect ankles. At the same time, it is best to wear special riding warm shoes, otherwise, the cold air will make your feet feel completely pedaled. Fourthly, it is concluded that riding in winter will not be as easy as in summer, and even the advanced equipment will not keep you dry all the time. Therefore, the principle of riding equipment in winter is: "The outside is windproof and breathable, and the inside is warm and sweaty!" It can relieve the pain, so why not? I forgot to remind everyone: be sure to wear a helmet! ! ! Wish! Have a good ride! ! !
