In 2007, Baixiang fell into a dispute with Sichuan Baijia. Sichuan Baijia believed that the appearance packaging of Baixiang infringed the patent right of appearance, filed a claim against Baixiang and demanded that Baixiang withdraw from the market. This dispute lasted for six years, and the lawsuit was upgraded from the original packaging lawsuit to the patent trademark lawsuit, ranging from the courts in Shandong, Henan, Sichuan and other provinces to the Supreme Court, which aroused widespread public concern and became the first case of intellectual property disputes over convenience foods in China.
