Nanjing University of Science and Technology (Nanjing University of Science and Technology) is a university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. It is mainly engaged in science, engineering, liberal arts, economics, management, and law. In 1953, Nanjing University of Science and Technology was established from the Military Engineering College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (referred to as "Harbin Military Engineering"). It has successively gone through the development stages of Artillery Engineering College, East China College of Engineering, and East China College of Engineering. In 1993 It was renamed in 2006.

As of 2014, Nanjing University of Science and Technology has 14 professional colleges, including the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Chemical Engineering, and the School of Electronic Engineering and Optoelectronics Technology, with 66 undergraduate majors. Enrollment; the school also has a graduate school, a school of continuing education, a school of international education, and has jointly established two independent colleges with its partners, Zijin College of Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Taizhou Institute of Science and Technology of Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
