Geneva International Patent Technology Fair

Just now, I accidentally dialed CCTV-7 and saw Chen Wenzeng, a master of porcelain repair, bragging about one of his pots. This pot has a mechanism that can pour out two kinds of wine. The basic principle is atmospheric pressure. There are two holes in the pot. You can pour different wines by inserting different holes. The master was very proud of this, saying, this is awesome, and he won the "Geneva International Patent … Expo … Invention … Gold Award" (probably). I can't help but be a little surprised that such an invention can get such a big table? Fang couldn't help searching for the gold medal of the Geneva World Expo on Google. As a result, only Chinese-related content was found. Basically, some acne cosmetics, condoms, input methods and rice sellers have won this award! I don't believe it anymore. I used "Geneva International Patent" to search and found such an exposure platform. The general contents are as follows:

Another scam of "Geneva International Patent Technology Achievements Expo" was launched as early as May 2002. Entrusted by the Geneva Global Inventors Association and the World Patent Transaction Evaluation and Promotion Committee, the Beijing Creative Science Association Patent Technology Consulting Center collects gold medal fees 290 yuan, international patent appraiser certificate, Geneva Global Inventors Association membership certificate and patent value certificate, international postage and two-year membership registration fee, totaling 560 yuan.

I also found that the Chinese Academy of Sciences actually has a webpage called Changsha Institute of Tectonics, and an achievement won the gold medal at the International Patent Technology Expo.

... is beyond the reach of conventional geophysical and geochemical exploration methods. The patent was selected by experts from Geneva Global Inventors Association (EPCWP) 1 16, and was listed as one of the patent achievements with "great commercial value and exclusive right before sale". Thus, he won the gold medal of the Geneva International Patent Technology Achievements Expo.

The feelings are: first, nothing is credible, and the more authoritative it is, the more suspicious it is. Bold assumptions, careful verification. Second, what are you doing academically now?

Finally, I wish you all a happy new year ~! What were you doing on the last day of 2007? . . .
