How to install aluminum alloy baseboard?

Drilling: Observe the direction of water and electricity wiring before drilling to prevent mistakes. The interval between drilling holes should not be too large, otherwise the skirting line will be difficult to stick to the wall.

Drill holes in the wall with special tools. The baseboard is generally 2m in length. In order to make the skirting board fixed more firmly, the spacing of drilling holes should be about 40cm, and the spacing at the interface should be smaller. The baseboard nails the small wooden strips into the holes just punched. The nail that fixes the baseboard is nailed to this batten and directly nailed to the wall, so the nail is easy to loosen.

Note: Because the pipeline of hydropower project is buried in the wall, the position of the pipeline is directly below the switch socket, so the position should be calculated when drilling to avoid damage.

Fixing: Before fixing the skirting line, the wall should be leveled and cleaned, otherwise the skirting line will not completely fit the wall after installation, leaving an ugly gap.

Look at the location of the hole, and then fix the nail on the skirting board. When fixing, pay attention to whether the skirting line is close to the wall, and the nails should be completely submerged in the skirting line and invisible.

Note: the skirting made of polymer, density board and wood has the characteristics of thermal expansion and cold contraction, so the skirting near the corner should be like the floor, leaving an expansion joint of about 1cm.

Corner treatment: At the intersection of corner and skirting line, the edge of skirting line should be cut at a 45-degree angle, so that the interface will not leave ugly marks. Fix the cut baseboard. Note: the skirting line at the corner must be cut at a 45-degree angle before splicing and installation, otherwise it will affect the appearance.

Key points of installation: Use special threaded nails to fix the baseboard, so that the fixing effect is better and it is not easy to loosen. Everyone should pay attention to whether the manufacturer has cut corners.

The baseboard was originally designed to cover the expansion joints of the floor and make the floor more beautiful. Therefore, the edges where the skirting lines intersect should be leveled with a plane.

The skirting line should be completely close to the wall without leaving gaps, which is more beautiful, especially in the corner. Before installation, the flatness of the wall should be tested.
