Brief introduction of sea-crossing bridge

1. There is such a sea-crossing bridge, which took China five years to build, with a total length of 36 kilometers. It integrates six innovations in maritime transportation, erection technology, design and manufacture, anti-corrosion and construction of large-diameter and super-long steel pipe columns in strong tidal waters, and has won favorable comments from western countries including Germany. This is the famous Hangzhou Bay Bridge.

Generally speaking, the materials needed for bridge construction on water will be transported by crane. However, due to the special geographical environment and deep waters in the north of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, this method can still be used. However, the southern sea area is extremely shallow and fashionable, so it is impossible to carry out large-scale projects. At low tide, it was so muddy that ships were completely impassable. In order to solve the problem and ensure the smooth implementation of the project, the R&D team developed a special flat car with the strongest performance in history.

3. In the past, there were three main erection methods, namely, bridge segmental prefabrication, bridge site assembly, whole-hole erection by bridge erecting machine and whole-hole prefabrication and hoisting by large crane. However, the first method is concerned about its durability under the seabed, and has many procedures, and its adaptability to changing climate and hydrology is poor. The second method is limited by the huge size of the bridge erecting machine and has poor flexibility. Moreover, it is difficult to solve the long-distance transportation problem of the whole box girder. Comparatively speaking, only the whole-hole prefabricated floating crane is more in line with the engineering requirements, but the rapids in Hangzhou Bay still pose a challenge to the project implementation. Under this background, Tianyi 1 crane ship came out, which not only has strong power and all-electric drive, but also successfully meets the maximum installation height requirements of Hangzhou Bay Bridge.
