After receiving the acceptance notice issued by China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office, you can remit the application fee through the bank or post office according to the requirements of the notice. When remitting, you should paste the payment slip after the remittance slip or the postscript column in the fourth part of the remittance slip, indicating the patent application number, the name of the applicant or patentee, the name of the fee (application fee) and the name of the invention-creation.
If the application fee is remitted through the bank by electronic interbank, the bank shall be required to indicate the application number and the abbreviation of the fee name in the fee purpose column. ("application" refers to the application fee). If you submit the application documents to China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office or China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office, you can pay the application fee on the spot after receiving the acceptance notice. If the application documents are mailed to the China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office, the application fee shall be paid after receiving the notification of acceptance. But not later than two months from the date of application.
If it is really difficult to apply for paying the patent fee, you may request the China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office to reduce or exempt the application fee, examination fee, maintenance fee, reexamination fee and annual fee for the first three years after the patent is approved.
